How to design conversations that matter with Daniel Stillman
Welcome to the Naked Ambition Podcast. Where we speak with the people who are making an impact in tech, innovation and leadership all around the world.
In this episode of the podcast we speak with Daniel Stillman author of Good Talk: How to have conversations that matter, host of the The Conversation Factory and a design facilitator.
Super generous with his knowledge (and a good laugh) Daniel shares his tips on:
– Why you should focus on getting good at having conversations with yourself before others – A simple model for leaders to have better conversations
– The patterns present in every conversation
and how good conversations became his calling.
More on Daniel:
Daniel Stillman designs conversations for a living, and insists that you actually do that too. As an independent design facilitator, he works with clients and organisations of all shapes and sizes (From Google to Visa, to name a few) to help them frame and sustain productive and collaborative conversations, deepen their facilitation skills, and coach them through the innovation process.
He’s the author of Good Talk: How to Design Conversations that Matter, a handbook for leaders looking to create change. His first book, The Paper Airplane Experiment and the 30 Second Elephant is about origami and teams and yes, it’s as strange as it sounds.
Daniel also hosts The Conversation Factory podcast where he interviews leaders, change makers and innovators on how they design the conversations in their work and lives.
